WHAT IS THE GRAND RAPIDS AUTONOMOUS SUPPORT SYSTEM?
The Grand Rapids Autonomous Support System (Or ''GRASS'') is a human network that serves to connect the creative energies, curiosities, and passions of those living in Grand Rapids, MI. This network's intention is to aid connections between activists, musicians, volunteers, artists and human beings of all gender expressions, races, and socio-economic differences.
Our events are attempts to bring people together to learn deeper about our own unique journey, the world, and foster relationships that bring people of Grand Rapids, and beyond, closer together. We are everyday people who collectively have organized and assisted festivals, concerts, protests, neighborhood actions, potlucks, community meetings, disaster relief and workshops.
This Network is for you to collaborate with the local Grand Rapids scene, including events, local resources, and folks with a "do-it-together" mindset. we have a facebook group where most of our community shares their information. click the facebook icon below to link to the group.
Though we value the connections this online version of our community brings, we encourage in-person discussion and action because it better cultivates genuine connection. in the "events" tab, we have our schedule listed with whats happening each month.
You do not need anyone's permission to organize a gathering. We encourage weekly check ins / planning gatherings for friends and neighbors in the grand rapids community.
Well, what are you waiting for? Lets build a better world!
